Devoted to God
We want to be people who are devoted to worshiping Jesus. We want to make time daily to be alone for prayer and Bible reading. Spending time with others to pray and studying His Word is very important. We regularly celebrate the Lord’s Supper and remind ourselves of His grace and mercy toward us. These are not obligations we try to squeeze in, but cravings we can’t live without. We choose to make a joyful noise unto the Lord singing to Him because we love Him; we just love to worship Jesus even in the most basic settings. The Lord is the center of our lives and that makes worship exciting to us.
Devoted to Family
The body of believers is supposed to be closer to us than our own families (Matt. 12:46, Luke 14:26). Jesus said that "all people will know you are my disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:35). He also prayed that his disciples would be so "perfectly one" that the world may believe that the Father sent Jesus (John 17:20-23).
We show that we love by the sacrifices we make one for another. We look to care for our brothers and sisters in Christ. We share one with another, we love one another, we pray one for another and we serve one with another. They know we are Christians by our love. Our goal is to express the love of God from heart to heart and be the light that shines in darkness. We will truly be the church.
Devoted to Making Disciples
We want to be reproducers. We believe that all believers are called be disciple-makers. Not that people will be robots, we are going to be people that will encourage one another to understand what it is to be a believer. The Holy Spirit has given each of us a gift that is to be used for building up the body. We want to be servant leaders. Our goal is each one reaches one as they become like Christ, and develop the ability to lead others to Him and make disciples.
Devoted to Missions
We want to be the people of God, allowing Him to work through us as we are reaching out to others around us. Our focus is to share the gospel with neighbors, friends and coworkers. We want to be people who are devoted to helping others live a productive and faith-filled life. Some people may even go to places outside our country to spread the good news. Others may send financial support for those who have answered the call to travel. But no matter where they are, the mandate remains the same, spread the gospel.
